Platform Analytics (PA) Fundamentals

Platform Analytics Fundamentals is a two-day instructor-led course designed for professionals who administer the ServiceNow Platform Analytics Administration application.

The course covers the full scope of Platform Analytics administration, from data collection and indicator configuration to breakdowns, targets, thresholds, and dashboard building. Through a combination of structured content and hands-on labs, participants work in their own dedicated training instance to build practical skills in configuring and managing Platform Analytics for improved service outcomes.

Learners should have:

• Basic familiarity with the ServiceNow application
• Completed Welcome to ServiceNow, especially if they are new to ServiceNow
• Completed ServiceNow Administration Fundamentals or have equivalent ServiceNow experience
• Completed Platform Analytics Overview, a free self-paced on-demand course, if they are new to Platform Analytics

Advanced ServiceNow experience is not required.

This course is designed for Platform Analytics Administrators who plan to administer the Platform Analytics Administration application. Service owners and power users who plan to develop requirements and specifications for creating indicators and dashboards may also benefit.

Note: Learners who primarily want to analyze indicator trends should consider the free Get Started with Platform Analytics KPI Details and Get Started with Platform Analytics KPI Signals courses first. The Platform Analytics Advanced course is also recommended for a more in-depth understanding and advanced use case implementation.

Learners should have completed Welcome to ServiceNow and ServiceNow Administration Fundamentals, or have equivalent platform experience. New Platform Analytics users should also complete the free Platform Analytics Overview on-demand course before attending to get the most out of the class.

Yes. Extensive hands-on lab exercises are included in every module and participants work in their own dedicated training instance throughout both days of the course.
